    Ingrown Toenails

    When a toenail is ingrown it grows into the skin causing swelling, pain and redness.

    The most common causes of ingrowing toenails are:-

    • Shoes that don't fit correctly
    • High heels
    • Incorrect trimming - they should be straight - not round
    • Cutting nails too short
